Cam Planning is an independent planning and environmental consultancy providing expert advice on a wide range of planning and environmental matters.

We recognise that each project is unique and requires a tailored approach – we don’t adopt a standard template. We will devise a cost-effective strategy, take a proactive approach and give you honest, reliable advice.

Meet the Directors
Sheena McCallum
Founder and Director
Sheena is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and has worked as a planning and environmental consultant for over 25 years. During this time Sheena has held key roles on some of the biggest infrastructure projects to be promoted in this country, including Thames Tideway Tunnel and High Speed Two.
Sheena has successfully steered numerous development projects to a successful conclusion and has worked for clients including water companies, infrastructure providers, local authorities, house builders and other commercial developers. Sheena also has many years’ expertise in environmental impact assessment and as an expert witness at public inquiry.
Martin Birt
Director
Martin is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute with a particular expertise in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). He has Project Managed and Project Directed some of the largest infrastructure and regeneration projects in the UK and has generated a substantial portfolio of successful planning outcomes. He has experience in a range of consenting regimes, including Town & Country Planning Act, Development Consent Order (DCO) and Transport and Works Act Order (TWAO) procedures, and works successfully with design teams to achieve cost-effective mitigation and to overcome stakeholder objections.
Often working to challenging programmes and budgetary demands, Martin has a reputation for collaboration and determination in delivering clients’ requirements.
